Corowa Presbyterian Church welcomed Rev Richard Keith and his wife Karen to Corowa on Saturday, March 3 at an induction service that was attended by more than 80 people. Guests included leaders and members from other local churches and many who had travelled from further afield including Leeton, Griffith, Wagga, Deniliquin and Canberra to show their support for Rev Keith.

Rev Keith comes to Corowa Presbyterian Church from Leeton Presbyterian Church where he has served for 17 years.

At the reception Rev Keith thanked those who had travelled long distances to support him in his move from Leeton to Corowa. In particular he thanked Rev Russell Smidt (from Gungahlin Presbyterian Church in the ACT), for his words of encouragement and for delivering the sermon at the induction service. Rev Keith also thanked Rev Craig Nicholas and other members of the Wagga Wagga Presbytery for looking after the Corowa Church during the two-year period that the position had been vacant. He also thanked the Corowa parishioners for making him feel welcome and for hosting the wonderful afternoon tea.

“Karen and I have purchased a house in Corowa and we are looking forward to establishing good working relationships in the church and community and learning more about Corowa,” Rev Keith said.

He delivered his first sermon at the Corowa Church on Sunday, March 4 and shared with the congregation his enthusiasm for moving to Corowa. Services at Corowa Presbyterian Church, in Mary Street, are at 9.30am each Sunday and include Kids Church.
